Installation and activation

The Nabdaq Search plugin keeps your WordPress listings in an index and puts the search on any page.

Hosted search and WordPress are in private beta. Your account needs the beta enabled to use these APIs.

Install

  1. Download nabdaq-search.zip, then in WordPress: Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, and activate it.
  2. In Nabdaq, open your index → Website → "Using WordPress?" and create its two keys: a browser key for visitors' searches and a server key that sends listings.
  3. In WordPress, Settings → Nabdaq Search: enter the index name and both keys, then Check connection.
  4. Press Sync all now.
  5. Put [nabdaq_search] on a page (a Shortcode block).

Shortcode options

[nabdaq_search index="…" locale="ar" purpose="rent" control="off" attribution="off" placeholder="…" per_page="12" query="…"]. Settings on the plugin page set the defaults.

Requires WordPress 6.0 and PHP 7.4 or later. The server key stays on your server; visitors only ever see the browser key.
